Swatches and review: Inked Barbie Cosmetics Knuckleduster palette.

Can I just start by saying: 😍😍😍😍😍😍!!!

Alright, so I've been eyeing this palette for a while and a half.
Luckily Harmony, (the ever so gorgeous and colorful soul who runs Inked Barbie Cosmetics) had a sale just before Christmas and me being the terrible person that I am, finally got one despite being way over my spending limit but ya know #treatyoself.

Anyhow!

Custom Knuckleduster Palette, Left to Right: Harajuku Barbie Party, Let's Rock, Oceanic Breeze and Spellbound.

Half swatch over primer from Harmony's shop in indoor lighting.

With flash.

A look I did the other day using Harajuku Barbie Party on my lids and as blush/contour. Full product details on Instagram @cynthiaiskillikill

Review:
I love these. I'm so happy with my selection, all these can be bought separately and everything in the store is vegan.
You absolutely need primer for all these shadows as they contain glitter. The colors are intense and highly pigmented. Great customer service and she also has a clothing line which I'm dying over ( SuicideBarbieBowtiqu <click to shop ). 18 year old me would stop eating for a month to rock those gorgeous little booty shorts, custom shoes and spiky bustiers. 😂
I will definitely get a few more bits from Inked Barbie Cosmetics. I can't speak for any of the other shadows, please keep that in mind. If you want to know of anything related to the products I have then drop me a message.

Haul: Black Friday loot pt.1.

I was not prepared.

This was the first Black Friday I felt like I had a decent amount of money to "invest" as I'm still working on getting my beauty stash to the standard I was used to before the sudden move abroad over a year ago.

I still haven't received everything as I mainly ordered from indie companies who have a long processing time.

But here's some of the things I bought:

Been dying to get good brushes for quite a while, I wasn't supposed to get any as I wanted to wait because I had already spent over my budget by the time I saw these... But you can't argue with 40% off and free shipping plus a supportive partner telling you that you should.

I got the following brushes:
S140 Highlight Stylist.
P370 Stylist Lip Brush.
D225 The Depositor Brush.
D240 Fusion Brush.
P375 Stylist Eyeliner Brush (3 pack).
P365 Stylist Designer Brush.

My order from Zodiac Killer Cosmetics to get a few of my favorite items as they were having 20% off. Their prices are really reasonable to begin with and I needed primer (always trying to justify my shopping).

I bought:
Two Gravity primers.
Aphrodite Galaxy Glitter.
Liquid lipstick samples in Mercury, Mars and Venus.
StarryEyed Zodiac Shadow in Cancer.
And got a full size Uranus lipstick as GWP! Yay!

SoCoFragrance was having a sale... 3 for $33. Not that she needs to have a sale for me to buy stuff, I'm hooked, total fragrance junkie thanks to her. I love everything, absolutely everything this woman makes.
But I've encountered a problem... The Hamilton balms are so pretty!!! I can't break the seals... I don't know what to do!!!

I got the following:
From the Hamilton collection:
Helpless and Three Fundamental Truths.
From the winter collection: Abuela's Holiday Kitchen.
From SoCo Carnival Fabulon:
The Tattooed Woman and The Fortune Teller.
And finally from the regular line:
Coat of Many Colors.

Well. That's it for now.
I'll be posting reviews of things once I feel confident that I've given them a good go. There's a SoCo Fragrance balm review already somewhere on the blog and a swatch post of the Zodiac Killer Cosmetics lipsticks.

First impressions/mini review: Twisted Wonderland Perfumery.

I placed my order to Twisted Wonderland Perfumery during her Halloween clear out to try a few bits I had been eyeing.

As I have a new found love for fragrances I really wanted to try a few samples, the samples are 1 ml which is a good size to get a good feel about the fragrances. Only available in a set of 5 which comes in a cute decorative box as seen above. I chose the following:

What's In The Hookah: Cherry wood, raspberry, caramel pipe tobacco and vanilla bourbon.
Curiouser & Curiouser: White zinfandel wine, white musk, muguet blossoms and bergamot.
Eat Me, Drink Me: Wild black cherry juice, vanilla waffle pastry and maraschino cherries.
Keep Your Temper (OIL ONLY): Eucalyptus, herbal lavender, spearmint and marshmallow.
Merry Unbirthday: Cake, Lemon Tart Frosting and Raspberries.

Ingredients:
Perfume Oil: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut Oil), Fragrance, Essential Oils

I chose a mix of what I like, sweet, boozy, musky and fresh. My least favorite was Merry Unbirthday, it was a bit too soft for my liking which I kind of was expecting but I can't resist cake fragrances. It's still a lovely fragrance but I like more character. I did however absolutely love the other four! They're special in their own way and I'll probably be getting them again in some format as they can be made into soaps as well.

The soaps! Excuse the bad quality of the picture... I accidentally deleted the good ones and the bars have been used A LOT! So they're way less photogenic than a blurry picture right now.

Basic Witch: (Halloween Limited Edition) Pumpkin milkshake, Sugar cookies and pumpkin buttercream.
The King Of Horror: Satsuma ginger-ale with a drop of blackberry syrup mixed in.

Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Oil, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Protein, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbitol, Sorbitan Oleate, Titanium Dioxide, Mica Coloring, Fragrance.

These bars are gorgeous and all vegan! I always use a loofa and they foam up so nicely, almost cream like. The fragrances are pleasant and the King Of Horror bar has a bit of shimmers in it which makes me excited as all sparkles do! I have had the problem of using it in a way to minimize the damage on the splatter feature... They're a good size, I think these were 4 oz (120ish grams) which is what most artisan bars are. Prices range from $3 up to $7 with sizes 4oz - 8oz and your choice of fragrance.

Lip balms!

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, Tocopherol (Vitamin E Oil), Flavoring, Sweetener. (Some Also Contain Lip-Safe Mica Coloring

These lip balms were such a pleasant surprise! I was honestly not expecting anything special, I was just feeding my balm addiction... But they're so nice! Very pleasant to wear, smell amazing and keep the lips nice and soft for a long time.
I chose the flavors:
Red Currant Merlot (light purple tint) and Pomegranate Margarita (which I have already misplaced). They come in  .15oz tubes and there are matching lip scrubs in most flavors available. They're unfortunately not vegan and is the only product in the store which isn't.

I'm happy with everything I bought. Everything comes in quality packaging, well made and wraped nicely with a few sweets thrown in for extra joy! There's always new things popping up in the store and flash sales on Instagram (@twistedwonderlandperfumery). I feel good about this little brand and aim to try a few more things in the new year... Absolutely getting "Keep your Temper" in full size! To visit the store clickhere and have a look at the fragrance list, there's plenty to like.

Let me know if you've tried any of her products and what you think! ❤

Look: Holiday/Festive evening look.

It's my favorite time of the year!
Christmas has always been special to me because PRESENTS!!!
Haha no not really, it's special to me because of how my family/relatives would always gather and spend a couple of days having a good time with games and lots of eating... So much eating... Most of the time all the way into the new year.
During the time together everyone gets ready and makes an effort to look nice for dinner so thought I would do a simple look which is easy to adapt to your own way of wearing make-up using products easily duped.

I made this look at the end of November as I couldn't resist the gorgeousness of my Terra Firma lipstick.

Full details at the end as usual.

Product details:

Face:
Dirty Hippie Cosmetics (DHC) Hemp seed and red raspberry primer, Mineral Concealer and powder in Sunkissed, Cocoanut highlight powder to add a natural soft glow. Bronzed Rose powder for a soft bronze to warm up my complexion to match the rest of my body as I'm very protective of my face and it hardly ever is exposed to the sun. Mineral eyeshadow in Boysenberry, a very light application (I always pat my brush on a piece of paper or my wrist before using any products on my face) to hollow out my cheek bones.

Eyes:
Eyeshadow base is the Gravity Primer from Zodiac Killer Cosmetics (review coming soon!). Started with DHC mineral eye shadow in Honeysuckle from the brow bone all the way down to my lids and inner corners. In the crease I used Pine Needles and Carbon together to avoid getting a too intense crease. Under the eyes I used Carbon on it's own and mixed some of it with Medusa's Make-up Eyeliner seal to create my own liner.
I also used Carbon for my brows.

Lips:
Finished the look with Dirty Hippie Cosmetics Mineral lipstick in Terra Firma. I applied two coats, blotting between to create a long lasting and more matte looking lip.

And that's it!

CometComforts: Alice in Wonderland box.

I got my Cometcomforts box a while back.
This was the first box I wasn't completely convinced to get by the pictures on social media. Another reason was just that I don't have a connection with Alice in Wonderland and I also wasn't a big fan of the polish from the pictures I was seeing as I normally go for dark polishes.

So this was in the box:
Click picture to get to Cometcomforts shop.

So first of all I want to give major love to CometVomit, who is the creator of the polish. This is now my third fullshize polish from her and they freaking last forever on the nails! It's so impressive. I have no idea what kind of magic goes into making these but they're ridiculous! And as for me not liking the shade, I was so wrong. I absolutely love it! It's a perfect shade and it has some beautiful iridescent/holographic flakes which no pictures do any justice. I've actually made my way through half the bottle already... Which makes me slightly sad. But! She has so many gorgeous colors I'll be trying out in the new year so it's fine.
CometVomit nail polish in Shall we have our tea first? topped with Espionage Cosmetics glitter Zark and finished with two layers of high shine top coat.Click picture to get to her Etsy Shop! Worldwide shipping available.

Second surprise was an exclusive sample/mini pressed highlighter from Amalgam Scent Co called Muchness. Well made and lovely!
Muchness by Amalgam Scent Co. Click picture to get to shop.

The third thing was the tea kit.
It was a big push for me to buy this box, not for the amount of tea but the tea strainer is so pretty!!!! I'm a big tea drinker, have been my whole life and this tea from The Naked Bear Organic Herbal tea is gorgeous! Tastes just like Swedish Christmas ginger bread! The big sugar is put aside for the husband who likes his drinks sweetened. All round win!

And finally, the no brainer. The perfume oil and mini balm.
Both gorgeous and made by the awesome that is Southern.Comforts (https://soco-fragrance.myshopify.com) I can't begin to tell you guys what a life change the fragrances she creates has been for me. I have placed a bunch of orders since spring and I have fallen hard. I've written reviews of her balms but it's a limited one due to my amazing skills in describing fragrances... The best you'll get out of me is "I love them, they smell amazing". And they totally do.
The fragrance oil smells like all things sweet you'd find at a tea party and the mini balm is Earl Grey scented...

My Nightmare Before Christmas box is currently in transit and will hopefully arrive before Christmas. But the next box will be a charity box with all profits going to an organization who helps low income families help their pets when they can't afford medical treatment. So keep your eyes open and go give CometComforts a follow on Instagram to get all the updates.

Haul: Twisted Wonderland Perfumery.

I placed my first order from Twisted Wonderland Perfumery a couple of weeks ago and I finally have all the lovely goodies in my possession!

The presentation was adorable:

Click picture to go to shop.

And in the adorable bag:

The soap bars:

In this picture: Basic Witch (Halloween exclusive) and King of Horror (permanent).
Both vegan soaps.
The lip balms:

In this picture: Red Currant Merlot (which has a light purple tint but it doesn't show up on the lips) and Pomegranate Margarita... These smell amazing. I've been into boozy fragrances lately.
And finally, the sample fragrances:

In this picture: I got myself the following fragrances: Curiouser & Curiouser, Eat Me Drink Me, Merry Unbirthday, What's In The Hookah and Keep Your Temper.

I'm happy with the presentation and with the sizes of the things. A small first impressions/review will be coming early next week. She carries a few more products but due to how expensive it is for me to get things to where I live I have to keep my purchases somewhat reasonable. It's a struggle...

To shop from this lovely store, who now carries a Christmas collection, clickhere. Prices are very reasonable and for random sales and coupons make sure to follow her Instagram. Shipping is reasonable, fast and available for international buyers as well.

I'll be posting on Instagram as I use things, as I usually do, so keep your eyes on my story. (@cynthiaiskillikill)

Look: Flowers in my hair.
